City prepares to launch Winter Photo Contest

first_imgOn Friday of each week of the contest, a weekly winner will be selected by 4:30 p.m. Starting Feb. 15, public voters on the City’s Facebook page will be choosing the grand prize winner by voting on one of the three winning photos. The photo with the most likes by 3 p.m. on Feb. 19 will be crowned the grande prize winner.The City notes that everyone who enters agrees to having their photo used by the City for promotional purposes, with credit to the photographer.All prizes will be available at the Visitor Centre in the Pomeroy Sport Centre. JOHN, B.C. — The City is launching their Winter Photo Contest on Monday.Submissions for the contest can be entered from Jan. 25 at 8:30 a.m. to Feb. 12 at 1:30 p.m.To enter, you must be at least 19 years of age — so parents can enter photos on behalf of their children who might not be old enough.- Advertisement -The submission must be both a photo of and have a comment included stating how you plan to live it up in Fort St. John. This can include recreation, leisure, scenery, volunteerism, and other northern activities.To qualify, the photo must have been taken in Fort St. John, or the surrounding area.
