327 NegOcc ARBs get land titles

DAR-NEGROS OCCIDENTAL I The first, also in Barangay SanIsidro, was previously owned by Josefina Lizares, Lydia Lizares, Ruby QuitcoJunsay, Concepcion Flores, and Rodrigo Mahinay, covering 32.49, 16.11, 20.75,23.17, and 4.45 hectares, respectively. Meanwhile, a group of 24 sugarcanefarmer-beneficiaries was awarded titles to 15.9747 hectares of property inBarangay 10 on Nov. 26. The distribution of CLOAs was led by MARPO Ma. JadeSollesta. The installation and distribution ofCLOAs were led by MARPO Julieta Mangao.  Municipal Agrarian Reform Programofficer (MARPO) Imelda Lazalita led the distribution of the certificates ofland ownership awards (CLOAs) to the beneficiaries. On Nov. 27, a group of 219farmer-beneficiaries was awarded CLOAs for a total of 109.88 hectares for twoseparate landholdings. In mid-November, DAR-NegrosOccidental-I also facilitated the awarding of land titles and installed 240farmer-beneficiaries in the towns of E.B. Magalona and Murcia.(With a report from PNA/PN) A total of 12 farmer-beneficiarieswere awarded land titles to 5.85 hectares – previously owned by Arturo deLuzuriaga – in Barangay Caliban, Murcia town on Dec. 4.  center_img In Victorias City, a total of 48 ARBsreceived land titles for 53.029 hectares in Barangay 14 in rites held on Nov.28. In Toboso, Negros Occidental, a totalof 11 ARBs received land titles for 3.68 hectares of land formerly owned by theRural Bank of Silay in Barangay San Isidro, on Nov. 29. BACOLOD City – A total of 327 agrarianreform beneficiaries (ARBs) have been installed and received titles onlandholdings in four localities in northern Negros Occidental from the lastweek of November to the first week of December.  In Sagay City, a total of 13 ARBsreceived CLOAs and were installed on a 6.69-hectare property in BarangayMalubon previously owned by Maria Theresa Llavore. The other property in BarangayTabun-ac, which previously belonged to the Philippine National Bank/StephenAmpil – has an area of 12.88 hectares. Facilitated by the Department ofAgrarian Reform-Negros Occidental I, the series of installation and release ofCLOAs were part of the land acquisition and distribution activities under theComprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reforms.    last_img
