This is his second Offensive Player of the Week award of the fall. Murray, a redshirt freshman defensive end, is the Defensive Player of the Week. The ‘Jacks (1-4, 1-1 SLC) spoiled Lamar’s homecoming festivities and picked up the first win of the Colby Carthel era with a 24-17 decision. SFA turns its attention to one of the biggest dates on its schedule – the 94th edition of the Battle of the Piney Woods game against Sam Houston State at 3 p.m. Saturday. Zappe is the offensive Player of the Week after tossing a school-record seven touchdown passes, and teammate Garcia, a freshman kicker, is the Special Teams Player of the Week for the second-straight week. The Huskies (4-1, 1-0 SLC) wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 68-31 win over crosstown foe Texas Southern on Saturday.
